Steps:
Locate the Trash: On your Mac’s desktop, find the Trash icon. It’s usually located in the Dock at the bottom of the screen.
Open the Trash: Click on the Trash icon to open it. This will display all the files and folders that have been deleted recently.
Search for the Word File: Use the search bar in the Trash window to look for your deleted Word file. You can search by file name, or if you remember some keywords in the file, you can search for those as well.
Restore the File: Once you’ve found the Word file you want to recover, select it and then click the “Put Back” button in the top right corner of the Trash window. This will move the file back to its original location.

Use Time Machine Backup
Prerequisites: You need to have enabled Time Machine and have a backup drive connected to your Mac.
Steps:
Open Time Machine: Locate the Time Machine icon in the menu bar. It looks like a clock. Click on it and select “Enter Time Machine”.
Navigate to the Backup: In the Time Machine interface, you’ll see a timeline on the right side. Use the arrows or the timeline to go back to the time when your Word file was still intact. You can preview the files and folders in each backup.
Select and Restore the File: When you’ve found the backup that contains your deleted Word file, select the file and click the “Restore” button. Time Machine will restore the file to its original location on your Mac.

The software’s user-friendly interface makes it easy for both beginners and professionals to navigate through the recovery process. With just a few clicks, you can scan your device for recoverable files, preview them, and restore them to a safe location. Panda Assistant employs advanced algorithms to ensure a high recovery success rate, even for complex cases of file loss or corruption.
General Recovery Steps:
Download and Install the Software: Go to the official website of the data recovery software you’ve chosen and download the appropriate version for your Mac. Follow the installation instructions to install it on your computer.
Launch the Software: Open the data recovery software after installation.
Select the Recovery Mode: Most data recovery software offers different recovery modes. For example, you might have options like “Deleted File Recovery”, “Formatted Drive Recovery”, etc. Select the mode that is suitable for your situation, usually “Deleted File Recovery”.
Select the Drive or Location: Choose the hard drive or storage location where the Word file was originally located. This could be your Mac’s internal hard drive or an external storage device if the file was stored there.
Scan for Deleted Files: Click the “Scan” button to start the scanning process. The software will search through the selected drive for deleted Word files and other data. This process may take some time depending on the size of the drive and the amount of data on it.
Preview and Recover the File: After the scan is complete, the software will display a list of all the recoverable files. You can usually preview the Word files to make sure they are the ones you want. Select the files you want to recover and click the “Recover” button. Choose a location on your Mac to save the recovered files.
Check iCloud Drive
Prerequisites: You must have been using iCloud Drive to store or sync your Word files and have iCloud Drive enabled on your Mac.
Steps:
Open iCloud Drive: Click on the Apple menu in the top left corner of the screen and select “System Preferences”. Then click on “Apple ID” and select “iCloud”. Make sure “iCloud Drive” is turned on and click on “Manage” next to it.
Check the Recently Deleted Folder: In iCloud Drive, look for a “Recently Deleted” folder. This folder contains files that have been deleted from iCloud Drive but not yet permanently removed.
Restore the File: If you find your deleted Word file in the “Recently Deleted” folder, select it and click the “Recover” button to restore it to its original location in iCloud Drive. It will then sync back to your Mac if you have iCloud Drive syncing enabled.
Contact Apple Support
When to Contact Support: If none of the above methods work, or if you’re experiencing other issues related to file recovery on your Mac, it may be time to contact Apple Support.
Contact Methods:
Apple Support Website: Visit the Apple Support website and search for solutions related to file recovery. You can also chat with an Apple Support representative online or schedule a call.
