WhatsApp has become an integral part of our daily lives, allowing us to share messages, images, and videos with friends and family. However, losing important videos from WhatsApp can be frustrating, whether due to accidental deletion, app crashes, or phone malfunctions. Fortunately, there are multiple ways to recover deleted WhatsApp videos.
WhatsApp videos are stored in multiple locations, including:
WhatsApp Chat History: Videos sent and received are saved within individual or group chats.
Local Storage: WhatsApp automatically saves media files in your phone’s internal storage or SD card.
Google Drive/iCloud Backup: If you have enabled backups, deleted videos may still be retrievable from your most recent backup.

Method 1: Recover from WhatsApp Chat (If Not Deleted from Chat)
Sometimes, deleted videos may still be available in the chat conversation. To check:
Open WhatsApp.
Navigate to the chat where the video was shared.
Scroll through the media files.
If the video is still available, download it again.
Method 2: Restore from Google Drive Backup (Android Users)
If your WhatsApp backup includes the deleted video, you can restore it:
Uninstall WhatsApp from your phone.
Reinstall WhatsApp from the Google Play Store.
Sign in with your phone number.
When prompted, restore from Google Drive backup.
Once the process is complete, check your chats for the recovered video.
Method 3: Restore from iCloud Backup (iPhone Users)
For iPhone users who back up WhatsApp to iCloud:
Delete WhatsApp from your iPhone.
Reinstall WhatsApp from the App Store.
Sign in with your phone number.
When prompted, select Restore from iCloud Backup.
Wait for the process to complete and check your chats.
Method 4: Check WhatsApp Media Folder in File Manager
WhatsApp stores videos in the media folder within local storage. To check:
Open File Manager or File Explorer on your phone.
Navigate to Internal Storage > WhatsApp > Media > WhatsApp Video.
Look for the deleted video.
If found, move it to a different folder for easy access.
Method 5: Use a Data Recovery windows
Panda Assistant is an effective tool for recovering deleted WhatsApp videos from your Android or iPhone. Whether you’ve accidentally deleted a video, lost it due to a system crash, or had your phone reset, Panda Assistant can help you retrieve these files quickly.
Here’s how you can recover deleted WhatsApp videos:
Install Panda Assistant: Download and install Panda Assistant on your PC or mobile device.
Connect Your Device: If using a PC, connect your phone via USB and enable USB debugging (for Android users).
Scan for Deleted Files: Launch the software and choose the WhatsApp video recovery option. Panda Assistant will scan your device for deleted videos, even those that are no longer visible in the WhatsApp app.
Preview and Recover: Once the scan is complete, preview the recoverable videos and select the ones you want to restore. Click “Recover” to save them back to your phone or PC.
For iPhone users, if you have a recent iCloud or iTunes backup, you can also restore videos through a backup restore option within the software.
Method 6: Retrieve from Google Photos or iCloud Photos
If you have cloud backups enabled for photos and videos:
Open Google Photos (Android) or Photos App (iPhone).
Go to Trash/Bin.
If the deleted video is there, select Restore.
Method 7: Ask the Sender for Resharing
If you received the video from a contact, ask them to resend it. If it was shared in a group, check if another group member still has it.
Method 8: Restore from an Older Local Backup
WhatsApp creates local backups of chat history, which may contain your deleted video.
Open File Manager.
Navigate to Internal Storage > WhatsApp > Databases.
Rename the most recent backup file (e.g., msgstore.db.crypt14 to msgstore_backup.db.crypt14).
Rename an older backup file (e.g., msgstore-YYYY-MM-DD.1.db.crypt14) to msgstore.db.crypt14.
Uninstall and reinstall WhatsApp, then restore from the modified backup.
Preventing Future Loss of WhatsApp Videos
Enable automatic Google Drive/iCloud backups.
Save important videos manually to another storage location.
Use a cloud service like Google Photos or Dropbox for extra backup.
Regularly check storage settings to avoid auto-deletion due to space constraints.
